About this Course
We all know it is a healthy thing to learn to express ourselves in a healthy manner, right?
My Daily is a mix between an art journal and a diary. It is an illustration of life. It is art therapy and talk therapy and quiet time and reflection all rolled into one. I spent a long time looking for my 'voice'... finding a way to express myself. My Daily is where I landed and where I learned the importance of being creative on a daily basis..
I often get asked how I do this? How long does it take? What do you use? Where do you get inspiration?
I hope this series of lessons answers those questions and gives you some insight on the benefits of expressing yourself too. Be creative every day!
About the instructor
Janet Joehlin is a late blooming artist. Despite being creative all of her life, she dropped out of art school to get married and raise a family. However, even with three young kids at home, she used her creativity to run a holiday craft business and eventually a long arm quilting business.
After the kids were grown and out of the house, Janet used her free time to take a few more art classes and slowly crawled back into the world of art. Today, she is known for her art journaling and Daily that she shares on her blog, Happy Reminders, and Instagram, and her work as part of the Stencil Girl design team.
At Brave Girls University, she teaches various art and stitching techniques, encouraging beginners and intermediates alike, to pick up a paintbrush or marker or needle and thread and simply get started creating.
You will need:
- A Journal - Use whatever you are comfortable with in a size you like. (I use a Strathmore 8.5″x5.5″Art Journal 400 series Watercolor Paper)
- Pens and Markers (I suggest many kinds I like to use in my course)
