About this Course
There is no shame in beginning again…in fact, it is truly a brave act, to move forward once again. Sometimes we feel forced to begin again because something has ended, or something has been taken away…sometimes we must begin again because we feel like we quit.
Whatever the reason for the reset, the redo or the recalibration….it is a good one. It is so very good to simply look at our lives and determine where we need to let things die and where we need to adjust and where we need to start over again. Often we find that we are beginning something for the very first time.
Something that is wonderful about old things coming to an end is that there is always a new beginning just after something ends….it has to be so or life would not go on! Things are always ending and always beginning….it is a beautiful cycle that leads to growth, change and living out the very lives we were meant to live.
When we find ourselves at the beginning again, we can be very excited and exhilarated…for it means that we get to create things just the way we want them. We get to make our own rules, draw our own boundaries and add in our own spice to whatever we are doing.
It is time to evaluate every decision that brought us to where we are now. What do we want to do differently? What have we learned that will serve us in our future? What are we still learning? What is left to learn? Where do we absolutely never want to be again…and what do we absolutely want more of in our lives? This is exciting! We get to decide!
When you are at the beginning and it seems like such a long road to get to the end, or you don’t even know where the end is….just focus on how you want this day to be. Then focus on how you want tomorrow to be. Think about how you want things to be at the end of this month….and in the next 6 months. What will it take to get there? What is a hurdle that must be overcome? What is a habit that must be given up? What is a weakness that must be strengthened? What is a strength that must be utilized to the fullest?
We can create the experiences in life that we desire…it is how we create the life we desire! One decision after another, one experience after another. It starts today.
Let’s Begin Again.
About the instructor
I love being part of Brave Girls Club and sitting in this big worldwide circle of sisterhood....it has changed my life in all of the best ways. I am profoundly grateful for all of it, and I work hard to never take it for granted.
I'm an artist, teacher and entrepreneur. I have started and owned a few different companies and written many books. I have sold and licensed my art all around the world, which is what I had dreamed of doing since I was a little girl. In 2004, my husband sustained a traumatic brain injury which changed the direction of our lives dramatically and led me to my TRUE life's work.
Taking care of my husband and holding my family together while my business and the rest of my life fell apart all around me left me feeling broken in every way. I used art and journaling to heal the fragmented parts of my soul, and once I felt healed I wanted nothing more than to share what I had learned and how I had healed with my sisters all over the world. That's where Brave Girls Club came from...my curriculum is what I have used to heal myself and make my life joyful again.
I live in Star, Idaho where my husband and I have raised our 5 children. My husband made a miraculous full recovery which we consider a tremendous miracle that has prompted us to spend our life helping others out of the kinds of dark times we were in for so long. Our greatest treasure in life is our family, ...especially the grandchildren who have come to us! We plan to spend the rest of our lives doing more of what we are doing now....enjoying life, helping where we can, creating beauty, and spending as much time as possible with our beloveds...at home and all over the world. We appreciate every new day we are gifted with, and life is beautiful! So happy to be here with all of you!
