About this Course
Fire Cider is a traditional folk remedy made by herbalists for centuries using pungent, zesty, spicy, sweet and sour kitchen staples you likely already have on hand. Apple cider vinegar is infused with potent antimicrobial, decongestant, circulation increasing, immune and digestion stimulating roots and plants such as horseradish, ginger, onion, garlic, cayenne, turmeric and honey. This remedy has been used by herbalists during cold and flu season to ward off viruses and bacteria, and is a preparation that embodies the notion of “let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”. As a folk remedy there are endless variations but most include the essentials mentioned above, including the apple cider vinegar which works beautifully as the menstruum, or solvent, for pulling the healing plant constituents out so we can access them.
