About this Course
We wonder if we are good enough. Do we deserve love, acceptance, and belonging? We fear that the answer might be no. In fact, we fear it so much that we try to be acceptable in whatever way we can. We compare ourselves to others in hopes of measuring up favorably. We even judge others harshly so we feel more secure.
And yet, all of it is a game that we don't have to continue playing. The truth is, we are all worthy and so deeply loved and beloved. We have only to go "Out Beyond Ideas" of good and bad, of right and wrong, and you and me. Beyond judgement and measurement and into the light of love.
In this course we will use the Rumi poem "Out Beyond Ideas" as a jumping off point for spiritual exploration using meditation, journaling, and expressive arts. I hope you'll join me and sink deeper into the knowledge of your worth.
About the instructor
I create artul soulful events, programs, and courses for the healing and empowerment of women and girls. I'm particularly interested in the nexus between art and spirituality especially in the context of community building among women. I love serving vulnerable populations and seek to create a more just and compassionate world.
I also create lush artwork, designs, and handmade items that are a reflection of my own soul work. Please check out my shop!
In my spare time you can find me on the beach walking my dog Roxy near our home in Pacifica California, hunting for vintage vinyl with my husband and two daughters, or taking the occasional accordion lesson.
If you could sit on the couch next to me I'd make you a cup of nettles tea or mix you a drink with some homemade orange bitters. We could share stories about how we got from there to here, and what lights us up. Until then, I hope you will reach out to me and let me know what you're up to in this world!
