About this Course
Mountain Lion helps us to form a solid and respectful practice of relational boundaries. Education is needed about respectful behavior in our culture, and boundaries are all about self-respect and respect for others. Some of the ways we create a culture of respect is with the natural and flowing use of appropriate language and behaviors. It takes time and practice to get comfortable holding a graceful space of integrity around you. There are so many beautiful ways to take care of yourself with the right words, and you’ll explore all of them in this self-paced course. Pixie's approach to most all communication issues within 6 years of teaching for SouLodge is to “know what you need and ask for what you want” so that you have an authentic place to begin from. The purpose is to language your requests in a way that honors YOU and also the person across from you at the negotiation table in a way that feels natural to both of you-which requires sticking to the truth and loving it more than anything else.
Children are often the recipients of our debris (violations), which makes this training important for modeling to the little ones while helping them to see parents honoring one another. The parenting segment of this course isn’t just for those with babes- it’s also extremely helpful in re-parenting oneself. The course also covers setting healthy limits and age-appropriate boundaries with children.
Think of boundaries as your invisible lines in the sand which you consciously put into place for protection and preservation, while also protecting others from your psychic debris-which can sometimes get projected inadvertently if care isn’t taken. This work is especially helpful in women's community, where old triggers land us in one broken relationship after another. Reprogramming ourselves for clear communication can be done! Everyone wins with boundaries training, a course where we learn where we end and others begin and how to navigate relationship in high integrity.
