About this Course

Oxymels are the sweet and sour combination of honey and apple cider vinegar with healing herbs added in. Oxymels are typically used to treat upper respiratory issues, especially in the winter. These herbal potions have been used throughout history and western herbalism embraces them wholeheartedly. Even the ancient Greeks believed in their power!

By using sympathetic herbs, oxymels become great tonics for treating respiratory ailments including cough, sore throat, congestion, wheezing, colds and flu. Vinegar has long been a preferred menstruum, or solvent, for extracting the plant constituents that help the respiratory system and is healing itself. When superfood honey is added in with mitigating herbs, you have a powerhouse potion to support you, your family and friends through the cold and flu season.
