Lara started out teaching 6th grade, but ended up following a big dream of becoming a photographer. She owned and operated Lara Blair Images and Modern Prairie Girl for 13 years and was asked by Amherst Media to write a how-to digital photography book. While living in New York for three years she hosted two successful gallery showings of her work.
When Lara moved back to the Northwest with her family, she and an artist friend led art/photography retreats in the U.S. and in Europe. It was during these workshops she realized the calling of cheering on women in achieving life goals.
Her new home, Channeling SuperGirl, is a culmination of all that Lara has learned about going forth and grabbing what you want out of life (even if you’re a busy wife and mom). She loves serving women who are ready to listen to their Inner SuperGirl and take action. She gives them the tools, encouragement, resources, support & inspiration to achieve BIG dreams. Lara believes women deserve to be ecstatic about the lives they’re living and there’s no better time than right now!
As a mother of two teenage girls, Lara is navigating the waters of raising her own SuperGirls and offers a workshop once a year in the Northwest to help other moms and daughters. As one half of a very happy 20 year marriage, she also loves the discussion with women about what works/doesn’t work in creating a harmonious & happy home. Feeling the call of teaching once again, Lara returned to education and is thrilled to be helping third graders realize their own goals and plans for the future.
When she’s not working with women, moms & daughters or 3rd grade students, you can usually find her:
– Running on the trail far behind her super runner daughter
- Creating & disguising green concoctions for her family to drink
- Writing madly in her journal and downing espresso like tequila at the local cafe’
- Riding on the back of her hub’s motorcycle (no chaps involved–only highlighter pen jackets)
